Reservations at The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat are confirmed when a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 USD is paid. If deposit is not received before December 31, 2018, Retreat guest reservations will be cancelled.
Retreat Guests must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for accommodations in the A.C. Thomas House. By making payment of a deposit or full payment for any program at The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat, guests are accepting the following terms and conditions:
Payment Policy
A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is required to confirm a reservation at The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat. Fifty percent (50%) of the remaining balance is due on or by January 30, 2019. Final balance is due on or by February 28, 2019. Late payments will incur a $25.00 late fee.
If retreat commencement date is less than 60 days prior to booking, full payment is required to secure booking. Failure to pay within this timeframe results in the deposit being forfeited and the spot being resold.
A 10% discount only applies to guests of the inaugural 2018 James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat.
Travel fees and arrangements and bank fees incurred by transferring money or making payments are the sole responsibility of the Retreat guests.
Retreat guests are responsible to pay for all extra services not included in the selected James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat package.
Cancellation Policy
All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to jjoneswriters@gmail.com. Refunds will be issued in accordance with the following schedule:
- Cancelation 90+ days from the start of the booked retreat date, 100% of the payments made (less non-refundable deposit – $500) will be refunded.
- Cancelation 60-89 days before the start date of the booked retreat date, 50% of the payments made (less non-refundable deposit – $500) will be refunded.
- Cancelation 30-59 days before the start of the booked retreat date, 25% of the payments made (less non refundable deposit – $500) will be refunded.
- Cancelation 29 days or less before the start of the booked retreat date will result in no refund.
Exceptions to The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat’s guest cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer any credit for arriving late or departing early, missing activities, or not utilizing any part of the retreat.
Prices and services are subject to change. The invoiced price includes the services as stated on the invoice and the booking confirmation connected with that invoice. Any additional agreements will be communicated via written form. The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat reserves the right to change its prices without prior notice.
The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat reserves the right to change its offer or individually agreed services due to extraordinary circumstances (e.g. external forces, governmental regulations, delays of third parties, weather and oceanic conditions, etc.). If any essential contract paragraph is changed, the Retreat guest will be informed as soon as possible. The retreat schedule and inclusions can change at any time without notice. The program listed on the website is always applicable.
The James Jones Writers Workshop Retreat reserves the right to change or amend this policy at anytime. The current policy is always applicable.
Disclaimer
The Retreat guest agrees that he/she may be photographed and/or filmed during his/her stay and/or activities in connection with the James Jones Writer Workshop Retreat (JJWWR), and also agrees that the JJWWR may use such recordings for promotion and/or advertising purposes without any prior consent. The Retreat guest agrees that the JJWWR for marketing and market research purposes may use his/her personal data. The JJWWR assures that all personal data will be treated confidentially and not be transferred to any third party other than necessary to fulfill the booking or deliver the requested service. The Retreat guest can terminate this agreement at any time in written form via email. In that case, the personal data and/or footage will not be used for marketing/market research purposes.
